A new anime series was announced by Toei Animation, under the name, which began airing on Apwith a grand total of 97 episodes. Additionally, on April 1 of 2015, TV Asahi in Japan began re-airing the original anime series to commemorate its 30th anniversary, as well as the 30th anniversary of the manga upon which it is based. On Jand Septemtwo boxsets were released in Japan, containing all 114 episodes of the classic series, restored in high definition video and audio along with extra materials. A DVD set entitled 'Saint Seiya: Sanctuary Classic Complete Collection' was released to DVD in the US on Apby New Video, containing the first 73 episodes in Japanese with English subtitles. However, ADV shut down and ceased operations later that year. In early 2009, the uncut version was reissued in two box sets, and ADV had expressed an interest in releasing the rest of the series uncut and completing their uncut dub.
